- Hit Clipper: The Leveller feeds per-hit peak data directly to the clipper, so each transient is shaped on its own terms. Consistent impact and density in dense mixes without inserting another plugin.
- External Sidechain: When transients are already mapped via trigger plugins, MIDI, DAW markers or manual edits, Drum Gate 2 can skip detection and focus purely on decay shaping and levelling. Every instance opens together, keeping multi-mic kits phase-coherent and locked.
